However, whilst they’re obviously on good terms, the Duchess wasn’t able to get her to appear on her podcast, ‘Confessions of A Female Founder.’ She didn’t lose out entirely though, because she was able to get her mother, Tina Knowles, to appear instead.
Royal Expert On Why Meghan Markle Isn’t Restocking Her ‘As Ever’ Brand
It took years for American Riviera Orchard to morph into As Ever, and even though Meghan gifted celebrities and influencers products from the brand months back, it seems she’s not yet ready to start running it like sustainable brands.
In a statement that would probably be a disappointment to fans, Meghan shared that she’ll be taking a step back to reevaluate her brand in order to avoid annoying customers.
Seems reasonable enough, especially since there were several complaints about the jams being too watery.
Dissecting Meghan’s decision to step back and focus on the podcast, Nick Ede said: “Meghan obviously is trying really hard to establish herself in a big way, and associating herself with other female founders, was kind of a good idea, because it went well with the As Ever brand, and how that was developing.”

“But the issue is that actually the As Ever brand hasn’t really gone particularly far, so she can’t really say that she’s a particularly great female founder.”
Ede continued: “And so when she’s been interviewing some of these brilliant people like Sarah Blakely, for instance, who who came up with Spanx and was one of the first youngest billionaires in the world, that’s somebody who’s actually aspirational, somebody who’s worked really hard and created a product which is sold around the world and recognized around the world. And unfortunately, as ever isn’t.”
