Did Meghan Markle Have To Sign A Prenup?

Meghan MarklePrince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot on May 19, 2018. But did they sign a prenup prior to that, inquiring minds want to know?

And now, we have the answer: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry allegedly signed a prenuptial agreement right before their extravaganza wedding in 2018, according to Star magazine.

And guess who reportedly was the iron fist behind the move? None other than Queen Elizabeth herself!

Did Queen Elizabeth Make Sure Her Empire Was Protected Via A Prenup?

The magazine is reporting that Her Majesty forced Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to sign the controversial document in order to bury any plans to raid the royal family’s coffers, estimated to be around $500 million dollars. Smooth move Madge!

According to Star, “The word is that when Harry and Meghan slipped into the antechamber before the ceremony … to sign the marriage registry, they also signed the prenup.” That’s cutting it close don’t you think?

The queen allegedly demanded the royal couple sign the prenup, and at that point what choice did they have?

Apparently, Prince Harry And Markle Both Agreed To Sign A Prenup

The royal couple’s prenuptial agreement was, allegedly, drawn up by Attorney Fiona Shackleton, who coincidently was in attendance at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s royal wedding.

According to a source, the lawyer was invited to ensure that the signatures were obtained!

So what’s in it for Meghan if she divorces Prince Charming? Nada, zip, zed, allegedly of course.

According to the insider Meghan didn’t kick up a huge fuss at that point. One can only imagine what it would have been like to be a fly on the wall of that musty cathedral.
Was Meghan really chill with being told to sign a prenup?

Now here comes the iffy part: according to Gossip Cop, Harry and Meghan didn’t sign a prenup before their expensive, taxpayer funded wedding.

Who Do We Believe?

Let’s take the facts at face value. For one, prenups supposedly are not common in the UK. Really? Second, would the bride and groom have met in the antechamber before the wedding, isn’t that bad luck? Third, royal author Katie Nicholl has said that royals don’t sign prenups.

In her book “Harry: Life, Loss, and Love,” she stated that royals don’t do prenuptial agreements. “It’s commonplace with celebrity marriage, but this is not a celebrity marriage, it’s a royal marriage,” she said.
Um, there goes her credibility wouldn’t you say?
