Did Meghan Markle Really Want To Be Queen Of England?

Um, hello? Is this even possible? There’s a new report that suggests Meghan Markle had some very high aspirations when she was still a member of the royal family.

Apparently, Prince Harry’s wife really truly thought that she had a chance to become queen of England even though her husband Prince Harry had and still has a very slim chance of ever obtaining the throne. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Royal author and expert Tom Bower, who often has something or another to say about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, says that the Duchess of Sussex certainly did have very high aspirations when she married into the royal family.

Unfortunately for the former Hollywood actress whatever dreams she had turned into a nightmare as both she and Prince Harry acted like they were running for their lives when they left the UK back in 2020. And of course, they haven’t looked back since.

But Bower says that Meghan Markle really wanted to be the next queen and even tried to compete with Kate Middleton when it came to the popularity polls. As many people already know, unfortunately she did not succeed.

He put it this way, “There’s only one way and that’s the royal way. Kate is glowing, Kate is successful, Kate is popular – everything that Meghan wanted. Meghan wants to be the Queen – and she doesn’t want to be five in the succession [with Harry]. Meghan could never trump Kate – absolutely not at all.”

Bower continued, “Everything she tries undermines her status and instead of going back to the privacy she said she needed – and why she had to leave Britain – every time she steps out into the spotlight, she loses a bit more. She just cannot win.”

Of course, the Duchess of Sussex has not made any comments about the criticism that she’s received, although at this point it’s doubtful she will say anything. Watch this space.
