This has prompted many royal fans and critics to ask the same question: could Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles have done more to help Prince Harry’s wife? Here’s what you need to know.
Did Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles Not Do Enough To Help Meghan Markle?
According to new reports, Meghan Markle’s legal team said in a court filing against a London tabloid that she felt rather vulnerable during her pregnancy with her son, Archie Harrison. This is in connection to a February 2019 article in which Meghan’s anonymous friends spoke about her rift with her father, Thomas Markle Sr. The People Magazine article was the reason why Thomas Markle Sr. took matters into his own hands and gave a British tabloid private letter sent to him from Meghan Markle to publish on his behalf.
While Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles have nothing to do with Meghan Markle’s very messy battle with her father, court documents in the case suggest that the royal in-laws didn’t do much to protect the Duchess of Sussex from all of the attacks she faced from the media during her pregnancy in 2019. The documents state that Meghan felt “unprotected” by the royal “institution” and that she also felt very vulnerable during her pregnancy.
British Royal News: What’s Next For The Royal Family?
Even though Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles are yet to say anything about the matter, the Duchess of Sussex did say during an interview with the ITV network back in October of 2019 that she wasn’t getting the support she needing by asserting, “not many people have asked if I’m OK.”
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the controversy, nor have they said anything about Meghan Markle’s lawsuit against several British publications. In the meantime, let us know what you think by leaving us a line with your thoughts in our comments section below.
