Did Prince Harry Really Cause Trouble In Shanghai, China, Over His Security Arrangements?

A few days ago, Prince Harry flew to Shanghai, China to propose sustainable travel and tourism, and to promote and raise money for Travalyst on the side.

Needless to say, this visit did not go down well, as certain people could not understand the need to fly all the way to China to give a speech on why we shouldn’t fly all the way to China on a whim.

Of course, you can count on fans and media outlets to call out the hypocrisy in such action. But is that all the backlash Prince Harry is receiving over his latest travel to China?

Royalists Claim Prince Harry Made A Fuss Over Receiving Regular Security

Before we go into the most recent rumor that is currently plaguing the 40-year-old Prince, I feel it imperative to mention that aside from being mocked for the hypocrisy of his decision to attend Trip.com Group’s Envision 2025 Summit in person, experts also judged that he might have engaged in the travel to try to overshadow King Charles’ trip to Canada. If that really was his motive in making the surprise trip, he didn’t succeed.

At least according to former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, who told The Mirror that Harry’s trip significantly failed to overshadow his father’s visit to Canada.

“It seems to have made very little news at all. If the idea was to garner as much publicity for the cause as possible, it would seem to have fallen rather short,” she added.

But that’s not all the criticisms that the Duke is receiving due to his decision to travel to Shanghai in the name of sustainable travel.

A few days after he made the trip, a source disclosed that the Prince was left furious and annoyed when he arrived at the event to find that he had the same level of security as regular attendees.

The report further stated that this happened despite the Prince sending a message to demand for so and so security arrangements prior to making the trip.

This news seems to have caught on, with a prominent royalist account on X sharing, “Harry threw a royal tantrum about not having top tier security when he arrived and made a big scene with the Chinese organizers of the event!

He said, “His team had sent all the request/requirements for his visit weeks in advance and was shocked when he arrived that he had the ‘standard’ security as all other ‘regular’ attendees!”

Another source claimed that his outburst delayed his keynote speech by nearly 40 minutes.

Whilst this news floats around, I would like to add that none of the sources that have come forward with this story is reliable or have provided verifiable evidence, so take it with a pinch of salt.
