Fresh off from his tour of Australia and Samoa and King Charles was ready to hit the road again to make up for lost time.
However, it seems his medical team has sort of quenched his steam by telling him to stay put in the near future. Charles is apparently afraid that the Carolean era isn’t off to the best start. Will it ever get rolling?
King Charles Is Reportedly Determined To Stay “Active” And “Disciplined” Amid Cancer Treatment
To make his tour of Australia and Samoa successful, doctors allowed King Charles a few days off from his ongoing treatment. The King apparently had so much fun during the trip that he promised to tour more in the future.
This will not be the case. Why? King Charles recently revealed the limitations his doctor imposed on his engagements during an international sustainability conference at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday.
The monarch told the High Commissioner of Fiji: “I felt so bad we couldn’t get to Fiji (on the royal tour), the doctors wouldn’t let me.”
Queen Camilla – Imposes On King Charles To Honor This Mid-day Meal
However, the doctors aren’t the only ones looking out for the elderly monarch’s health, with Robert Hardman writing that Queen Camilla takes a significant role in his well-being.
In his new title ‘Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story,’ the author writes: “Despite cancer treatment, the King has been determined to stay active, self-disciplined and positive. In private, however, the King’s illness had forced a few changes to the routine, not least when it came to lunch,” as Queen Camilla takes care he does eat his lunch.
You might remember that one of the weird things about King Charles is his averseness to lunch, with sources claiming he rarely has one.
“Lunch was seen as something with a small but significant risk of either illness or an embarrassing photograph. It was just easier to avoid it,” Hardman wrote.
“The Queen had views on [lunch] and he wants to keep her happy,” Robert Hardman continued. “Lunch made a comeback, though ‘I wouldn’t say it is most people’s idea of lunch,’ cautioned one member of his staff. ‘There isn’t much of it.'”
