Does Prince William Have ‘Control’ Over The British Media?

It looks like someone behind closed palace doors really is trying to control the narrative. There’s heavy speculation suggesting that Prince William might have a certain hold over the British media.

This all came about after one British journalist was forced to go on the record to state that no, he is not being influenced by the Prince of Wales.

Does Prince William Have ‘Control’ Over The British Media?

Richard Eden, a royalist and author who often has something or another to say about the royal family on a daily basis, wanted to make clear that no, Prince William is not looking over his shoulder each and every time he writes an article or blog post about the royal family.

Eden took to his X account to write, “Eh? I am a Diary Editor of Britain’s biggest selling newspapers and Prince William doesn’t control me.”

Now, whether or not that is true is anyone’s guess, but the British public has been speculating about the matter for years. That’s because all the headlines about Prince William’s supposed affair with Rose Hanbury back in 2019 were wiped out almost instantly.

If that weren’t enough, it’s also being said that Prince William is trying to control the press by ensuring that the royal family only gets positive headlines. But whether or not that is true is anyone’s guess.

Royal Family News: Prince William Doesn’t Want To Look Like A Villain

Either way, Eden is making it clear on his end that he’s writing whatever he deems to be acceptable and that no one – including the future king of England – is trying to convince him to write what they deem to be acceptable.

For now though, it seems like Prince William doesn’t want to deal with another controversy on his hands. That’s why he hasn’t said anything. He doesn’t want to look like a villain in anyone’s eyes again.

Plus, it sure doesn’t help that his brother Prince Harry hinted a few years ago that the royals do like to keep on good terms with members of the British press just to keep up with appearances. Apparently, this is what Queen Camilla has been doing for years, too.

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter just yet.
