Ellen DeGeneres is retiring from show business as soon as her one-hour Netflix special drops later this year.

The 66-year-old comedian’s long-running talk show ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ ended following accusations of a toxic work environment. Since then, Ellen DeGeneres has tried to navigate the controversies to no avail.

Despite this, Meghan and husband Harry showed support for her last year by attending her vow renewal ceremony with wife, Portia de Rossi’s.

After the whole “cancel culture” drama, Ellen has decided that she is “done” with the entertainment industry. “Let me catch you up on what’s been going on with me since you last saw me,” Ellen told the audience on the stage at Santa Rosa. “I got chickens. Oh yeah, and I got kicked out of show business for being mean.”

DeGeneres added: “I used to say, “I don’t care what people say about me.” Now I realize I said that during the height of my popularity,”

The 34-time Emmy winner noted: “Next time, I’ll be kicked out for being old. Old, gay and mean, the triple crown. I can be demanding and impatient and tough. I am a strong woman. I am many things, but I am not mean.”

Before the cancellation of Ellen’s talk show, Meghan had been a guest on it and talked about life with her family following her exit from the Royal Family. She was also involved in a skit that saw her make animal noises.
