Dolly Parton Refused To Appear On Meghan Markle’s Netflix Show?

According to royal expert Kinsey Schofield, Meghan Markle is running out of A-list names to contact for the second season of her Netflix show, ‘With Love, Meghan.’ The first season happened to feature actress and director Mindy Kaling, among other lesser names.

This second season, the Duchess is looking to match, or even surpass, the first season. Beloved country star Dolly Parton, who is known, among other things, for her love for the Waleses was among the celebrities reportedly courted by the former American actress.

Sadly, she received a big fat no from the country ic, businesswoman, author, and host of a dog fashion show.

Royal expert Kinsey Schofield spilled this bit of royal news, claiming a source said, “Meghan’s team has openly pursued Dolly for the Netflix show. Dolly declined.”

Despite the poor reviews and underwhelming performance of the first season of ‘With Love, Meghan,’ the actress shocked many when she announced that the show would be returning for a second season.

Whilst this proves that she must have done something right in the first season for the global streaming platform to allow her a second one, some experts are prepared to believe that the second season had already been shot alongside the first.

Whatever it is, the fact still remains: Netflix wants their pound of flesh and Meghan is looking forward to delivering.

Perhaps that’s why she sought Dolly Parton, despite the “Jolene” hitmaker’s previous predisposition to the Royal Family.

Recently, Parton revealed that she will be taking a trip to the island nation to meet Queen Camilla. “In fact, I’m going to go to England in October, and I’m going to actually, hopefully, get to have tea with The Queen,” Parton told Huffington Post in a new interview.

Fun fact: Parton and Camilla share identical passion for children’s literacy.

Apart from publicly stating she would love to have tea with Princess Kate – an offer she skipped last year due to her packed schedule – she also invited the Wales children to Dollywood.

She said: “They’re all invited. We would love to have them at Dollywood, and if they decide their schedule ever permits that, well, then we will go all out to try to make it a royal treat for them.”
