Earthshot Backlash Levels Prince William With Harry’s Netflix Critics?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly overshadowed Prince William and Kate Middleton at the Earthshot Awards. Certainly, the news of their Netflix documentary trailer dropping at the same time couldn’t have been a coincidence.

While the Prince and Princess of Wales got folks gushing in Boston, Earthshot seemed to level the unpopularity stakes for the two brothers

Prince William – And The Awkward Earthshot Speech

While Meghan and Harry were busy raking in comments about the trending Meghan & Harry Netflix show, his brother enjoyed all sorts of functions and Bostonians raved about him. Everyone knows that there’s some bad blood between the brothers as Harry focuses on turning himself into a celeb.

Meanwhile, William enjoys working for a better world by encouraging nature conservation. Unfortunately,  Reverend Mariama White-Hammond delivered an awkward speech about “the legacy of colonialism and racism.”

Prince William didn’t give the speech, but as the head honcho of the awards, he should have had an inkling about what was likely to emerge. After all, any good CEO would have discussed the message for the audience with the other participants.

Actually, between the monarchy and Harry and Meghan, many folks grow sick of racism consistently being thrown in their faces. And then, there’s the controversy over the Earthshot winners that got people heated on social media. 

Prince William – Levels Up The Criticism Between The Brothers

Initially, a lot of TV presenters were asking if Harry and Meghan planned their Netflix teaser drop to overshadow his brother. However, Earthshot found a huge number of critics of the winners. And some folks pointed out that David Beckham’s participation was hypocrisy at its highest level. After all, he probably just jetted in from Qatar where possibly billions of dollars were thrown into a costly and non-environmentally friendly event. 

Added to that, Prince William and his team jetted in from all over the place. Private jets, good food, and a flash gala event seemed at odds with the way the winners were treated. The perception seemed to be that the elite can fly in and leave a carbon footprint mark in history, but the winners had to attend their own prize-giving remotely.

Apparently, if they had flown in the world would have tipped into unretrievable climate change. So, Twitterati complained about “good for thee but not for me.”

Anger Over Hypocrisy Put Harry & Meghan In The shade

Prince William, for a little bit, took the heat off Harry and Meghan and their Netflix docuseries with both critics and admirers of the Royal family. Now that the playing field is level in current criticism, perhaps folks might stop and wonder just what it is that Harry so desperately needs to protect his family from.

Actually, some people feel that the concerted negative press for the couple starts to smack of a deliberate attempt to erase them from history. 

Tin hat theorists are already enjoying themselves throwing around ideas about the royal family’s connections to the New World Order and the Great Reset that seemingly benefits only the elites.
