Expert Predicts Meghan Markle’s Memoir Targets Princess Kate Middleton

British royal family news reveals that a Meghan Markle autobiography could be in the works, and possibly as juicy as a score of sour grapes.

This year her husband Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, dropped and since then royal pundits have speculated that Meghan will release her own version of her royal existence.

Royal expert Phil Dampier thinks that Meghan will target Kate Middleton in her bio. If so she would be following her own precedent which she set so spectacularly during the couple’s Oprah Winfrey interview. During that time Meghan dragged Kate twice, including calling her by a bullying nickname.

Dampier notes “Everyone will be fascinated to hear Meghan’s take on her relationship with Kate, whether she was hostile or welcomed her from the start.

She probably thought she should have received equal treatment and didn’t appreciate that she and Harry were seen as secondary to William and Kate. Meghan will likely talk about the comparisons made in the press between them and may come across as bitter.”

But if Meghan choses to retaliate again against her royal rival, Dampier thinks it would doom any bridge building that could take place between the Markles and the royals: “It really would be the last straw, and I doubt William and Kate would ever talk to Harry again.

While Meghan may not directly criticize the late Queen, she could reveal private conversations, which would be troubling for the royal family.”

At the same time that pundits are weighing in on Meghan’s potential memoir, others are speculating about rumors that Prince Harry is looking for a home base back in the UK.

Royal expert Tessa Dunlop thinks that such a move is likely not in the cards: “His recent visits to the UK have included a costly legal battle with the British press, a brief appearance at a coronation event, and a charity event in Germany. These actions do not suggest that he is about to start house-hunting in the UK.”

According to Dunlop, if the couple returns to the UK it makes more sense for them to stay with family due to their solid security arrangements. But she notes that “It is the British public who are missing Harry, rather than the other way around.”
