Fans are apparently not backing down from this theory of a marital separation between the Sussex couple, not even after Prince Harry – one-half of said couple, mind you – denied the allegations and shrugged it off as good old online trolling.

A friend has even thrown their support in the ring for the couple, revealing that they continue to maintain a “functional and healthy relationship,” despite reports of professional separation.

Meghan’s Instagram comeback didn’t exactly go down in the smoothest of ways, as it first launched as just ‘Meghan,’ before being updated to ‘Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.’

There’s still some issues with the title. You see, the absence of the “the” before Duchess of Sussex suggests that they’ve divorced. Fans are no doubt latching onto this as the next big clue that the couple are no longer together.

“Hopefully we will see another update, as she left out the ‘The’ in her title. No ‘The’ before Duchess of Sussex means she is a divorcee,” The Mirror wrote, in response to the small error in her Instagram handle.

Even though attempts to contact Meghan about the issue has been made, neither she nor her husband Harry have addressed the error or the speculations born of it.

Well, checking from the Sussexes’ history of grabbing headlines by being controversial, this may be their latest attempt to keep fans tuned into their brand.

I mean, what’s up with that obviously manipulated Christmas card picture featuring the Duchess, Prince Harry and their two young children? So maybe another smokescreen?
