Many critics of King Charles III predicted that the British people would hate it when he and the Queen Consort, Camilla Parker-Bowles took over from Queen Elizabeth II.

However, they seem to be making a lot of right moves, and people who love the royal family approve of him this Christmas. On Christmas Eve this year, a video emerged of them joining actors to recite the famous poem, “Twas the Night Before Christmas.”

Ahead of the holiday season, the news arrived that there would be a scaled-back Christmas this year. That’s because Queen Elizabeth’s oldest son is aware that taxpayers already contribute a lot of money.

However, it’s not like he canceled the celebration altogether. He gave the usual speech from the monarch which made people feel emotional. Additionally, he and his wife sent out their first Christmas card as the new sovereigns.

King Charles also gave Princess Catherine the go-ahead to host the Christmas Carol concert and service at Westminster Abbey. In fact, there were plenty of carol events and across communities, local heroes were recognized. Actually, that reminded people of Queen Elizabeth who cared for the people of the UK. Now, a video shot in 2020 emerged on the day before Christmas, and folks on social media reacted to it.

“Twas the Night Before Christmas” was originally titled “A Visit from St. Nicholas,” and appeared in the Troy Sentinel in 1823. Written for his kids, professor Clement Clarke Moore still helps to make Christmas special for millions of people across the world. So, the modern rendition chosen by the monarch was selected in honor of the Actor’s Benevolent Fund.

The video of King Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles revealed them reciting the poem with actors  Daniel Craig, Tom Hardy, Judi Dench, and Maggie Smith. They were well-chosen because the “charity supports actors and stage managers who are unable to work.” On Instagram, the caption also noted that the actors might face hardship because of “illness, injury or old age.” Meanwhile, others are “experiencing financial hardship.” Fans of the royal family loved the presentation. 

Reactions To ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’

In the video, King Charles kickstarted the epic poem by reciting, “Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse…” Next, The Queen Consort picked it up, and then the actors, and so on. Royal family fans who commented seemed delighted by the performance.

One of them wrote, “Pure magic, and for a wonderful cause. 🫶🏻♥️ Merry Christmas everyone, may you be safe, loved and happy wherever you are. 🌎♥️”

Many simial comments arrived like this one, “Absolute magic, thank you ❤️Merry Christmas x.”

Here’s an example of the reactions from a lot of people: “🎄🎄🎄🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾 how lovely. His Majesty, the king did a wonderful job. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 to all.”
