George Clooney Opens Up About Having Dinners With The Sussexes

It’s always a good thing when you have friends in high places, right? Well for George and Amal Clooney, their friends just happen to be in the highest place of all – the British monarchy!

George And Amal Clooney Attend Dinner With The Sussexes

As a matter of fact, the Hollywood actor recently revealed that he and his wife Amal often like to have dinner with their good friends Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. That’s because they live not too far away from the Sussex’s home, Frogmore Cottage, near Windsor Castle. Here’s what you need to know.

According to reports, the Clooneys like to stop by and have dinner and drinks with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Apparently, George and Harry’s friendship dates back several years. Also, Amal and Meghan get along pretty well, too. In fact, Amal even helped organize Meghan Markle’s star-studded baby shower in New York City back in March.

George Says That Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Love Their New Lives As Parents

George recently told The Daily Mail that Harry and Meghan are enjoying their new lives as parents, too. The royal couple recently welcomed their son Archie Harrison on May 6th. And luckily for George and Amal, they can visit the Sussexes at just about anytime and that’s because they live nearby in the village of Sonning, near Berksire.

The Hollywood star told the publication, “We live not too far from one another and we have dinners and stuff and we’re friends with them for all the reasons that you’re friends with anybody. They’re just really nice, fun, kind people, they’re a very loving couple, and they’re going to be great parents.”

Today The Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined The Queen and members of The Royal Family at the annual Trooping the Colour, to celebrate Her Majesty’s official birthday. Trooping the Colour orginated from traditional preparations for battle and has commemorated the birthday of the sovereign for more than 250 years. In the 18th century, guards from the royal palaces regularly assembled to “troop" colours or flags down the rank, so they could be seen and recognised by the soldiers. In 1748, it was announced this parade would also mark the Sovereign’s official birthday. Trooping the Colour is performed by regiments of the British and Commonwealth armies for The Queen’s birthday parade, allowing them to pay a personal tribute to Her Majesty. Today over 1400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians came together on Horse Guards Parade in London in a great display of military precision, horsemanship and fanfare. The parade concludes with a 41-gun salute fired by The King’s Troop, following which The Queen leads members of The Royal Family back to the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch the Royal Air Force flypast display. George And Amal Clooney Have Spent Time At Frogmore Cottage

And while George didn’t confirm whether or not he and Amal have met little Archie Harrison, we have a good feeling that the couple might already be planning future playdates with the little royal. That’s because the couple have two children of their own – their twins, Alexander and Ella.

The Clooneys aren’t the only ones who have spent time with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and their newborn tot at Frogmore Cottage. Additional reports say that just about everyone in the royal family – including Prince William and Kate Middleton – and even Meghan Markle’s friends Serena Williams and Priyanka Chopra have stopped by for a visit.
