Gossip Goddess Cindy Adams Says Meghan Markle’s Real Self Revealed In New Book

Cindy Adams is one of the grande dames of the gossip trade, a survivor who dished the dirt long before the internet hatched legions of influencers and spawned channels dedicated to the most minute and obscure of topics.

In her Page Six column which runs in the New York Post, the gossip goddess tells a delicious tale which reveals a thing or three about newbie non-royal Meghan Markle.

She starts off by remembering the time she met royal insider Lady Colin Campbell, “long before they built London Bridge.”

“Georgie,” we call her, lives in assorted castles, knows everyone who’s someone in London, and writes about no one who’s just anyone,” dishes Adams. “On June 25, Simon & Schuster publishes her “Meghan and Harry: The Real Story.”

Adams goes on to say that her good friend has revealed a few insights into Miss Meghan whom she hilariously calls, “Mrs. Harry.”

According to Adams, the book reveals that Meghan wants to run for U.S. president and that means, “England doesn’t do it for her.”

In the book, Me-me-Meghan is described as, “an operator… a fame addict”… who’s “had a series of men.”
Oh my, do tell!

Adams teases that Lady Campbell’s book has, “been through more layers of lawyers than Harvey Weinstein. Still, you should hold it wearing gloves.”

To prove her incendiary point, Adam’s spills that the book (page 261 to be exact!) declares that “Meghan’s whole life is an act.” Ah, snap!

And what about the man formerly known as Prince Harry? The book claims that he, “was desperate to meet someone”… “he’s not the swiftest”… “he’s a prop.”

But wait, there’s more! Flip to page 217 where you can read more about the man Lady Campbell calls, “pathetic.” Lady Campbell herself told Adams, “As for Harry … This nonsense that she didn’t at first knows so much about him… I mean, please. She’d looked him up in books. And she pats him like, ‘good boy.’ She even answers for him.”

Lest you think that Lady Campbell is in the same league as Omid Scobie or Carolyn Durand who were handpicked by Meghan to write their authorized (meaning cleansed) bio pompously titled Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, Adams sets the record straight.

Lady Campbell told Adams, “I know the lot. The royals. The courtiers. They’re friends. I’ve attended their parties. Been to their homes. And I’ve taken care to be positive and even-handed, although Meghan’s thrown the whole British family under the bus.”

Wants some more insight from the author? She told Adams that, Meghan has, “always wanted to be a star, she has this propensity for exaggeration.” Like I said, if Ms. Adams says it, take it to the bank.
