Another one bites the dust for Meghan Markle and her lawsuit against Associated Newspapers. At this rate, she may as well concede defeat now before she is totally humiliated by her silly exercise to prove that she was disrespected by the media.
Today she lost another key battle in court when the judge ruled that her very own bio, Finding Freedom, can be used as evidence in her battle against the publishers of the Mail on Sunday and Mail Online.
The Court Has Ruled Against Meghan Markle Once Again
What this means is that she could be questioned under oath about her involvement with the book. This could get tricky for Meghan Thee Duchess since she has publicly claimed that she had nada to do with it, while the authors have publicly acknowledged her participation. No amount of B-grade acting is enough to get her off the hook if she perjures herself.
Meghan is suing the Mail on Sunday for publishing bits of a letter she wrote to her estranged father Thomas Markle.
Her lawsuit claims that her, “deepest and most private thoughts and feelings,” were breached by the outlet.
Meghan Markle has flat out denied that denies that she helped with Finding Freedom but the authors say otherwise
In a pre-trial hearing last week Associated Newspapers asked the High Court for permission to include her alleged co-operation in Finding Freedom as part of their defense when the trial begins next year.
Lawyers for the newspaper claimed it was, “difficult to see” how she could complain about bits of her letter being published when she actually helped with her bio Finding Freedom, a book which painstakingly details her deep and private thoughts and feelings.

Lawyer Antony White said that the biography, “gives every appearance of having been written with their extensive co-operation,” a point also uttered by millions of royal watchers around the world.
He added, “The book contains a great deal of detailed information about [Meghan’s] personal life, including a number of passages referring to her relationship and communications with her father, and a section referring to the letter which is at the heart of this case.”
This allegedly shows that she allowed the book to use intimate details of her life in the same way that she is now accusing his client of doing–can’t have it both ways, Meghan.
Will her lawyer advise her to just give up now while she’s relatively ahead? Her legal costs are predicted to be £1.8million for the ten-day trial, and she has already been ordered to pay the newspaper’s costs of £39,000.
