Prince George’s Birthday Portraits
According to Britain’s Express.co.uk, a lot of eagle-eyed fans noticed that Prince George wore an England soccer jersey in his birthday portraits, which were taken by his mother, Kate Middleton. Many royal observers pointed out that this wasn’t something that Prince William and Prince Harry were allowed to do during their own childhoods – wear a sports jersey in protocol. Even though there’s no royal protocol that says the youngest members of the family aren’t allowed to wear jersey shirts, it’s been noted that they do have a distinct way of dressing, which includes classic or timeless dresses, plaid shirts, and knee-length shorts and socks.
Even though the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex are avid sports and soccer fans, they try not to support on team over another. However, Prince Harry is known to have worn a rugby jersey on occasion and both princes have been spotted at both soccer and rugby matches in the past.
Prince George Is A Huge Soccer Fan, Just Like Dad
Now, as far as why Kate Middleton decided to photograph her 6-year-old son in a soccer jersey, no one knows. But with that said, many royal fans were delighted to see the portraits, as they featured the prince smiling from ear to ear. The official Instagram account for the England soccer team even commented on the photo and George’s jersey. It’s also been said that Prince George is a huge soccer fan and even had a soccer-themed birthday party with his friends last month. The little lad just loves to kick a ball around whenever he can.
The Duchess of Cambridge has made it a tradition of releasing photos of her children on their birthdays for the general public. In addition to Prince George, Prince William and Kate Middleton are also the proud parents of Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1.
