A lot of people might think that the timing is bizarre but apparently there’s a good reason why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have decided to take legal action against the British press.

As many fans know, the Sussexes have launched an attack on the press and are even taking legal action against some sites and publications, including The Mail on Sunday.

One of the reasons why they’ve decided to do this is because according to Prince Harry is tired and frustrated of seeing the British press continually attack his wife for one reason or another. He said in a statement that the press did the same thing to his beloved mother Princess Diana, who died back in 1997.

Prince Harry Wants The Media To Back Off Wife Meghan Markle Now

That is why Prince Harry is apparently wasting no time and making it pretty clear that he wants the media to back off from his wife. According to E! Online, Prince Harry said in his emotional plea: “Up to now, we have been unable to correct the continual misrepresentations—something that these select media outlets have been aware of and have therefore exploited on a daily and sometimes hourly basis.”

But as the nasty press ramped up throughout Meghan’s pregnancy and reached a particularly hostile peak during her maternity leave, he hit his breaking point.

“I have been a silent witness to her private suffering for too long. To stand back and do nothing would be contrary to everything we believe in,” he said.

No Secret Meghan Markle Is Being Attacked By Her Own Family Members

Meghan Markle, for her part, has not said anything, but it’s also been no secret that she has been attacked by her own family members. Both her father Thomas Markle and her sister Samantha Markle Jr. have made endless attacks and have even called out Meghan for various different things through their media interviews.

And while they’ve somewhat subsided on airing out their dirty laundry, most of the damage has already been done. The Duchess of Sussex has been estranged from just about every member of her family except for her mother, Doria Ragland.
