Here’s Why Sophie Wessex Distanced Herself From Kate Middleton

While they don’t talk about their personal relationship in public, Sophie Wessex has always been one person that Kate Middleton can rely on, especially when it comes to royal and family matters. But it wasn’t until recently that fans noticed just how much Kate and Sophie love being with one another, as they chatted, giggled, and even lightly poked fun at one another during a recent Zoom call together. In fact, in almost every photo of Kate Middleton and Sophie Wessex together, both women are smiling.

Sophie Wessex knows and understands Kate Middleton’s needs so much that when her first son Prince George was born back in 2013, Sophie opted to keep her distance. But that’s not because she didn’t want to see the royal baby, but instead, she understood just how important it was for the Duchess of Cambridge to settle into her new role as a royal mother without the distraction of many family members constantly whizzing in to see her baby.

British Royal News: Sophie Wessex, Royal Sister-in-Law

According to Express.co.uk, when asked when she would visit Prince George, Sophie said at the time, “Not yet, I’ve sent messages, but I’m hoping in the next couple of days to be able to catch up with them. I think they’ll probably be wanting to just be together at the moment.”
