As its title suggests, the new royal exposes the Battle of Brothers, dissects the reported degradation of Prince Harry and Prince William’s brotherly bond. But it does much more than that, it gives readers an inside peek at the relentlessly bratty behavior which Harry and Meghan Markle allegedly engaged in when they felt slighted or miffed, which was most of the time apparently.

Royal biographer Robert Lacey does a grand job of outlining the outlandish behavior the pair subjected his family to before they decided to humiliate them by announcing to the public first that they were leaving the monarchy in a quest for money and power.

According to Lacey, even the normally staid and patient Queen Elizabeth was fed up with the never-ending agonies her grandson and his wife were lying at her feet, and her displeasure had reached a peak by December 2019.

She thought Harry and Meghan were, “erratic and impulsive,” in their behavior and as Lacey shows, they gave her plenty of reason to think that way.

For starters, there was the now-infamous fight over which tiara Meghan Markle wore at her wedding. Apparently, an infuriated Harry yelled, “What Meghan wants, Meghan gets.”

Meghan And Harry Got On The Queen’s Last Nerve

Then there was the deceit over the announcement of Archie’s birth. For one thing, it took place in total secrecy and Buckingham Palace had egg on its face when they announced at 2 pm on May 6, 2019, that Meghan had gone into labor that morning. Not true: the pair neglected to tell anyone that she gave birth to baby Archie eight hours earlier.

Then they refused to identify the baby’s godparents, acting like it was a state secret, and to do so would cause grievous harm to all involved. Many see this paranoid suppression as yet another sign of the pair’s greatly exaggerated sense of self-importance, and it’s hard to argue against that.

They topped that off by secretly trademarking the name Sussex Royal so they could presumably merch teaspoons and such. This sort of thing is simply not allowed and Harry knew that, but he went behind his grandmother’s back like a child who thinks they won’t be found out even after they’re caught red-handed.

These are just a few of the many obnoxious and adolescent stunts Harry and Meghan pulled with his family and against the country that once thought of him as a son. Who can blame the queen for being furious with the way the marauding pair treated her and the country she has loyally served for a lifetime?
