How King Charles Will React To The Whole Prince Harry Name-change News

This week’s royal news is getting hotter by the minute. You know how everyone was fixated at how Prince Harry flew to China to deliver a keynote speech on sustainable travel, and then the news about Prince Harry and the Spencer name hit headlines and diverted us? Well, it’s been a very busy royal drama-filled week to say the least.

Prince Harry Seeking Advise To Change Family Surname To Spencer “Has An Air of Revenge”

This week, news emerged that Prince Harry had reached out to his uncle Earl Spencer to discuss the possibilities of ditching Mountbatten-Windsor and claiming Spencer as his and his family’s last name. Well, you don’t have to be told how royal fans reacted to that bit of news.

Yes, there was anger, but the anger was stemming from the need to consult dear old Uncle for that. He could have just done it and saved us from the trouble of “what if…”

Despite not going ahead with the idea, royal experts believe that the fact he considered it will automatically cause the King some distress.

And not just that, according to correspondent Helena Chard, the whole business of “trying to change his surname has an air of revenge.”

“Such a hurtful and vindictive move to King Charles. It highlights Prince Harry’s little to no regard for his family. A huge amount of bitterness and frustration bubbling away in Harry could have led to him feeling the Spencer name would help grow his royal court,” she told Fox News Digital.

Another royal expert Hilary Fordwich, considering what the Surname move would have meant to the reconciliation plans Harry recently proclaimed he longed for, said: “Once again, Prince Harry has managed to make yet another deeply divisive and emotionally charged move, further fracturing his already tenuous relationship with the royal family.”

Fordwich went on saying, “The overwhelming advice from within his own family, particularly from his Uncle Earl Spencer, is to abandon the ludicrous idea due to its legal and emotional consequences. Even his inquiry highlights the enduring complexities of Harry’s relationship with his royal roots… It further thwarts any future reconciliation.”
