How Princess Catherine And Prince William Wished King Charles a Happy 76th Birthday

British Royal Family reveals that today is King Charles’ calendar birthday: Thursday, Nov. 14. We distinguish that fact because the UK monarch always has two birthdays, including a June birth date in which Trooping the Colour occurs for the regent’s pleasure. It’s good to be king or queen!

The King launched the Coronation Food Project last year on his birthday. According to People the project is meant to “tackle food waste and food insecurity across the U.K., helping people and the planet.

The program is an offshoot of the King Charles III Charitable Fund, and the sovereign will do the honors of opening the two Coronation Food Hubs designed to save and circulate tons of surplus food, elevating the potential for food redistribution charities to support those in need.”

It has been a challenging year for the royal family, with the King and Princess Catherine each receiving cancer diagnoses.

One commentator preferred to focus on the positive, posting that “Charles’s trip to Australia and Samoa was very successful and drew huge crowds and he is planning a full schedule of trips next year. His cancer was caught in the early stages so he was fortunate.”

Prince William spoke about the pressure-filled year at his recent 2024 Earthshot Prize Awards in South Africa. He told a reporter that 2024 has “been dreadful. It’s probably been the hardest year in my life. So, trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been really difficult.”

The good news is that the family are looking forward to a fresh start in 2025 and Kate is well enough to present her annual Christmas concert which should brighten some faces and lighten some hearts.
