An insider told the outlet that Kate called her father-in-law King Charles to tell him herself that she was planning to attend his official birthday parade. Needless to say, the regent was “delighted” to hear the good news.
One source spilled that having Kate stand next to the monarch on the Buckingham balcony was a deliberate decision to show they are in solidarity following their mutual cancer battles. In 2023 King Charles stood next to his heir, Catherine’s husband, Prince William.
Royal Family News: Trooping the Colour Was Kate’s First Appearance Since Cancer Reveal
Princess Catherine was last seen in public on Christmas Day. According to the outlet she “quietly called upon royal photographer Matt Porteous for a top-secret shoot at home last week.”
Porteous took the photos at Prince Louis’ christening in 2018, and the pic used for the Wales family’s 2022 holiday card. Kate wrote the poignant message that accompanied her pre-parade photo, saying that she has “good days and bad days” and that she is “not out of the woods yet.”

The photo showed Kate in jeans, white T-shirt, brown jacket, and tennis shoes underneath a grand tree on the Windsor estate close to her home, Adelaide Cottage.
