Is Diana’s Statue A Sad Casualty Of Prince William And Prince Harry’s Feud?

A new ‘white garden’ at Kensington Palace exists as a place to commemorate the late Princess of Wales, in an area that had been a favorite of hers.

It is called the white garden because all of the over 1,000 plants have white or cream-colored flowers.

What is not there is a planned statue of Diana, one that her sons William and Harry reportedly hoped would pay tribute to her humanitarian work.

The Brothers Have Toured The New Garden Area

In 2017 the brothers walked the grounds together but today Harry is nowhere near the gardens, having left the country for a life of freedom. Now, some are speaking out on the great rift that divides them, one that may influence the garden as well.

Is There A Great Divide Between Harry And William?

In the studio of Ian Rank Broadley in Gloucestershire, Diana’s likeness stands as a wooden cut-out, part of the process he has undertaken to create the statue of Diana that is intended for the white garden.

It has been three years since the announcement was made that he would create the statue of Diana.

What is the hold-up? According to royal sources William and Harry do not agree as to what the statue should look like.

Sources say that William is, “exasperated,” by Harry including his choice to leave the country and his family in the infamous Megxit move. Not only has Harry denounced his royal title and duties, but he is also living large and unencumbered in California, staying in Tyler Perry’s mansion.

William is also said to disapprove of how Harry has publicly mouthed off about his feelings regarding the monarchy and his family responsibilities.

Harry has said he feels, “abandoned,” by his family.

Diana’s Statue May Have Fallen Victim To Harry’s Abdication From The Firm

Nonetheless, William seems to remain hopeful about the statue seeing the light of day and taking pride of place in the white garden. Talking to royal fans outside Kensington Palace last year on July 11, Diana’s birthday, he mentioned the statue. Apparently William said the statue would be coming, “soon, very soon.”

Is this reality or just find wishes on the Prince’s part? Let’s hope the brothers can get together soon and finally make their mother’s legacy a reality. There is little doubt that Diana would not want to see her sons estranged.
