For the longest time, both Prince William and Kate Middleton were plagued with the reputation of being two of the most work-shy people in the royal family.
Year after year, William and Kate lagged behind in the royal engagement count compared to other members of the royal family. And while they did step it up a little bit once Prince Harry and Meghan Markle entered the picture, it wasn’t enough to completely repair their reputation as ‘lazy’ royals.

The Prince and Princess of Wales still took multiple and month-long vacations, used their children’s school schedules to get out of doing their work and were out of the public eye for weeks at a time.
For Kate Middleton, she knows that a change has to be made. With all of the rumors and reports suggesting that there is strife in her marriage with Prince William, the Princess of Wales has to reinvent herself as someone who is strong, capable, and of course, not afraid of work.
In some ways, Kate has to pretend like she’s a single working mom in order to show people that she’s capable of doing the same kind of work that her husband does, but of course, just without him.
What’s Next For The Princess of Wales?
Now, if Kate Middleton does end up becoming a single working mom in the future is anyone’s guess, but for now, she is definitely playing the part.
How long she’ll be able to go without Prince William by her side remains to be seen but for now the Princess of Wales is proving to everyone that she not only has what it takes to be the future Queen of England, but has also got that queen energy, too. Watch this space.
