Kate Middleton And Charlotte Shared Many Mother-Daughter Moments At Recent Event

The Duchess of Cambridge and her only daughter Charlotte had a lot of adorable mother-daughter moments watching a swimming event round of the Commonwealth Games and we’re all eating up the cute pictures. While fans thought she was more of a daddy’s girl, it didn’t distract from the smiles, the side eye, and lovely conversations she had with her mother while they watched the game.

When it comes to making surprise solo appearances at events with Prince William and Kate Middleton, Prince George, the eldest of the Cambridges, takes the crown. Not to say that Charlotte hasn’t made her own appearances, but they’re usually alongside big brother Prince George. Attending the swimming match of day five of the Commonwealth Games with her mom and dad is a big moment for the 7-year-old.

Upon arrival, Charlotte sat beside her mother Kate, who was sitting next to William, even though the sitting arrangement later changed as the games progressed.

Pictures of the young royal show that she was quite emotive at various points of the game, even giving dad a thumbs up at some point.

Wearing a simple striped black-and-white gown for the outing, she later met and shook hands with the event’s officials, as Kate looked on proudly.

Princess Charlotte Got A Pony For Her 7th Birthday

In May, Us Weekly ran details about Charlotte’s 7th birthday and how it was celebrated, most especially the ultra-cute present her parents got for her on her big day.

“The gift Charlotte wanted more than anything was a pony,” Us’s source said. “She has been taking horse-riding lessons for over a year and is obsessed. William and Kate know that her passion for riding isn’t a [phase] and finally agreed to buy her one.”

Speaking on her future role and how her character will help her excel in it, the source added: “She’s such a popular little girl and loved every minute of being center of attention. It’s obvious from being around Charlotte that she possesses all the personality traits to excel in her future role.…Being in the public eye comes naturally to her—she rarely feels intimidated or complains about it. It’s something she really enjoys.”

Princess Charlotte, to the pride of her mom and dad, works really hard in her studies. “She’s a hard worker and right up at the top of her classes in most subjects,” the source said. Charlotte is “self-motivated and a delight [to those around her]. One of her biggest passions is language. She’s already well ahead of schedule and dipping in and out of a number of languages, though Spanish is her favorite.”
