William and Kate sue once again
In an unusual but not unprecedented move, the Mail on Sunday reports that the pair have sent legal documents to the mag demanding the article be removed from the internet. They do know that the article can still be accessed a thousand other ways to Sunday, right?
Last Week’s Tatler Article Was Not Liked By The Royals
The article was considered so inflammatory that Kensington Palace issued an immediate and harsh condemnation of the piece asserting that it had a, “swathe of inaccuracies and false representations.”
The article written by Anna Pasternak claimed that Kate is, “exhausted and trapped,” following Harry and Meghan’s Megxit decision, which supposedly doubled her own workload as a senior royal.
Additionally, the couple is said to be upset about the perceived criticism of her family, her children, and her weight.
One sentence claims, “Kate has become perilously thin, just like – some point out – Princess Diana.”
Speaking to The Mail on Sunday an insider said, “That is such an extremely cruel and wounding barb. It’s disgusting. It’s sexist and woman-shaming at its very worst.”
The source denied that Kate feels overwhelmed with work, and denies the claim that William is obsessed with Carole Middleton, “It’s preposterous and downright wrong.”
“It’s ironic that the Royals’ favorite magazine is being trashed by them. The Duchess is a naturally shy woman who is doing her best.”
Is The Article Mean Spirited Or Inflammatory?
I may be in the minority, but the article makes Kate seem human in my eyes. Who wouldn’t feel overwhelmed at this particular point in time? If Kate were 100% okay I’d think she was a bot or a Stepford Wife.
Carole Middleton Comes In For Criticism?
The article takes a hit at Carole Middleton’s taste in décor saying her daughter’s home is, “like a gleaming five-star hotel, with cushions plumped and candles lit,” apparently at her behest.
What does the mag have to say for itself? In a statement, they say, “Kensington Palace knew we were running the ‘Catherine the Great’ cover months ago and we asked them to work together on it. The fact they are denying they ever knew is categorically false.”
This is just what The Firm needs, another high-profile media spat at a time when William and Kate were becoming more likable by showing themselves to be the anti-Harry and Meghan?
