Royal author and critic Charlotte Griffiths, who often has something to say about the royal family, believes that Kate Middleton and Camilla Parker Bowles are becoming very good allies, and if not friends, even if it doesn’t look like it from the outside in.

That’s because they are both united over the fact that they’ve come into the royal family as outsiders.

If there’s anyone who is going to understand Kate and all the hardships that she sometimes has to deal with while being in the royal spotlight, and even being married to Prince Wiliam, it’s going to be Camilla.

Griffiths put it this way, “I think there was a real warmth between the two of them and I didn’t actually notice it was missing until I now am seeing it more and more as the weeks go by. I didn’t really notice before that they didn’t give each other those looks or those friendly hand gestures so much as they do now, and I think its probably because they’re united by a common enemy, to say the least.”

As the future queen of England, there’s no doubt that Kate is now looking to Camilla for support and guidance, and especially since Queen Elizabeth is no longer around. It’s a friendship and even a ‘business relationship’ that benefits the both of them equally.

Griffiths continued, “They’re both going to be Queen one day, because Camilla will be dowager queen and Kate will be Queen consort, so they’ll be united by that.

They’re in a business relationship and they’re going to have more and more balcony appearances like that, so they may as well get on and become close.

And she has a lot of respect for Camilla. Kate is really close with her own mother, so she’s probably never been incredibly close with Camilla but maybe as the years go by, Kate can be a sort of support for Camilla as she gets older, and works really hard.”
