Kate Middleton Aspires To Change Thousands Of Lives

Kate Middleton, The Duchess of Cambridge, is stepping up her game with the opening of a kids’ center that will inspire, nurture and make life better for thousands of kids. Her decade-long work as a royal has helped her to bring this passion project to life.

The center will notably shape her focus as a senior royal, and instead of trying to find ways to cope with mental health challenges, the Duchess is aiming to prevent it. She is hoping that the project will lead to a better and more stable society.

The Duchess Of Cambridge Launches Massive New Project

Duchess Kate, 39, is launching a center that will focus on the development of a child during their early years and is comparing the importance of the project to that of climate change. Her goal for the center is to help generations of kids by giving them the best start in life.

An aide referred to the initiative as a “milestone moment” for the royal mom-of-three.

In a video released today to mark the launch of the Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood, Kate said: “[The aim is] to raise awareness of why the first five years of life are so important for our future life outcomes.”

She further added that her hopes for the project is to see it create a “happier, more mentally healthy, more nurturing society”.

The centre will be releasing its first study — Big Change Starts Small — which has already found that failing young children costs the economy £16billion per year in England alone.

This includes dealing with challenges such as mental and physical health problems that might have been prevented through action in early childhood.

According to an aide, “The Duchess has made the observation that the more you learn about the science of early childhood… the more you realise this is the social equivalent to climate change.”

“But it is not discussed with the same seriousness,” the aide added.

Kate’s new project stems from the data provided by various researches that show that there’s a close link between early childhood development and problems in adulthood such as addiction, family breakdown and homelessness.

The center will start small, employing six staff at first, and will be based at the Royal Foundation’s offices in London. For now, funding for the project will come from the foundation’s supporters.
