Kate Middleton Assembles A Team Of Experts For Her Early Years Campaign

The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton is pushing forward with her Early Childhood Foundation and, according to her, lots of big things are expected to be launched in the coming weeks.

In fact, she’s already put together a team of experts that will support her in promoting the fundamental importance of the first five years of a child’s life. Kate Middleton argues that it’s at this time that children start to understand and develop a sense of themselves and of others. So, this makes these early years crucial in forming a person, and if care is taken, it can help to raise children with fewer mental health issues.

Dr. Trudi Seneviratne Speaks On The Importance Of Kate Middleton’s Early Childhood Foundation

The Princess of Wales’ Early Years campaign is a product of research which shows that the first five years of a child’s life fundamentally shape them and when done right could lead to better decision making that can prevent addiction, homelessness, family breakdown and other social issues.

Advisory panel member Dr. Trudi Seneviratne believes that “our experience in the earliest years lays the foundations for the rest of our lives.”

She added that “fragmented policy making” should not interfer with the campaign, as it’s “really quite crucial” that people understand the importance of the foundation.

“That will help with service development. It will help with research. It will help with education. It will help with the workforce who look after young children and everyone, really.”

Dr. Seneviratne went on: ‘We need all of government to buy into this as a really ambitious long-term programme that actually continues regardless of changes of government – that’s really, really important.”
