Kate Middleton – Indulges In Rare PDA

At 41, the Princess of Wales knows that the royal family values tradition. But this week, Kate Middleton went against the royal rules in two different ways. And both occurred at the beginning of South Korea’s state visit to the U.K., according to People.

But Prince William supported his wife when she stunned observers by indulging in a very unusual public display of affection (PDA) with her hubby. And a video showed William, 41, sweetly resting his hand on Kate’s back as they left the Picture Galley.

However, Kate turned around and smiled at her husband. And then she reciprocated the PDA, reaching out to hold William’s back.

The two remained in their affectionate pose for several minutes. And Kate then patted her husband before they continued.

However, royal etiquette expert Myka Meier revealed that the royal family does not establish strict guidelines on couples displaying their affection in public. “Senior members of the royal family would likely not be told how to interact or when they can or can not show PDA,” she said. And senior royals like Kate “would be trusted to use their better judgment as to when it’s appropriate,” Meier added.

Kate Middleton – Gives Prince William A Love Tap On Butt

And the etiquette expert added, “The royals often adjust PDA to mirror the formality of the event they are attending. At a somber or more formal event, we are less likely to see PDA than at a casual event where it would be deemed more fitting.”

However, the Prince and Princess of Wales even displayed their love amid the celebration of King Charles’ coronation in Scotland. And Kate put her hand on William’s backside when she talked to him. That tap of love also occurred when the two walked the red carpet recently, with Kate patting her husband’s butt.

But another tradition-breaking action occurred as the Princess of Wales viewed a display of Korean items from the Royal Collection at Buckingham Palace.

And the viewing came in the wake of a private lunch that King Charles held to welcome President Yoon Suk Yeol and his wife, First Lady Kim Keon Hee.

But Princess Kate and Prince William made sure to dress properly when they greeted the presidential couple on behalf of King Charles.

And the Princess of Wales wore her hair in a tidy chignon. However, for the first time, Princess Kate let her hair down later, allowing her tresses to flow loosely amid a tour in the Picture Galley. And that goes against the tradition of keeping her hair in the same style, typically up in a chignon, throughout her royal work day.
