Kate has made Early Years work a cornerstone of her duties as a royal, so it’s not a surprise that she should attend the meeting in a smartly tailored outfit by her favorite brand, Alexander McQueen.
She paired the black blazer by the British brand with a white Holland Cooper blouse, which she has previously worn on a number of occasions.
The Windsor meeting was the outcome of several years of work on early years, maternal and teenage mental health as she continues her campaign to improve the living situation of children so that they can grow into proper adults with fewer mental challenges.
Before the meeting kicked off, she told the specialists: “I feel a bit nervous about it! But excited too. I was talking to the children this morning – the excitement and nervousness gets mixed up together in the same pot.”
Even though there’s a lot about the meeting that’s still under wraps, the Princess, who turned 41 earlier this month, teased that “a lot is coming out next week.”
She added: “Today I just want to think about and discuss what next, really. How do we keep this conversation going?”
She then talked about her passion for the undertaking, saying, “This campaign’s really to try and raise the awareness of the importance of this issue. And it’s sort of what can we do collectively to keep the conversation going and what we do next. This campaign is really laying the foundation of why early childhood matters.”
Kate further explained why attention should be paid to the first five years of a child’s life, as she points out that it’s the time when we start to understand ourselves and others.
