The Children’s Princess
According to People magazine, a new nickname for Kate has been surfacing online and it is gaining in popularity. Due to the Duchess of Cambridge’s tireless work with children and charities that benefit youth, she has been dubbed “The Children’s Princess.”
The news comes shortly after Kate made headlines when she spoke to a little girl who thought Kate looked just like Cinderella.
Inspired By Princess Diana
Her late mother-in-law, Diana also had a similar nickname. The Princess of Wales spent a great deal of time meeting and speaking with the general public. So much time she spent doing so that it is considered “unprecedented” and became known as “The People’s Princess.” She also had a wonderful ability to connect with “ordinary” human beings.
Royals News: Passion For Kids
Kate has a passion for children and the various charities that support the needs of kids. She also has three of her own: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Duchess of Cambridge Charity Work
Kate supports or is the patron of several charities and many of them serve children and the interests of youth. These include Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Place2Be and SportsAid, and The Foundling Museum. Perhaps the best-known charity that Kate is part of is, of course, The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Kate was also backing a children’s mental health charity, but it was reported last week that it is being prepared to close.
