But the palace did release a statement on Wednesday that said, “Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to The London Clinic yesterday for planned abdominal surgery. The surgery was successful and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery. Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.”

It also said, “The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.”

The Princess Of Wales Is Due To Rest Until Easter

Kate, who is also the future Queen of England, is expected to remain at Windsor Castle for the next several months while her husband Prince William picks up her royal engagements and takes care of their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The news is quite troubling for a lot of royal fans and critics alike seeing how there are only a handful of senior members of the monarchy who are also full-time working royals.

It’s been said that after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle pulled the plug on their working relationship with the royals, Prince William and Kate Middleton had to pick up their extra workload in their already very busy schedules.

So far Prince William has not made any comments about the matter. That said, we will update you with all of the latest details as they come in. Watch this space.
