Of course, we are talking about Kate Middleton as there’s heavy speculation suggesting that she does not want to accompany her husband Prince William on his upcoming trip to America and that’s because she wants to avoid a confrontation with Meghan Markle.

There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that if the Prince and Princess of Wales visit California, there would be a lot of pressure for them to visit with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Because after all, if you are making such a big trip across the pond, you might as well visit with your brother-in-law and his wife, even though you haven’t spoken to them in plenty of years, right?

The optics would have looked pretty bad for William and Kate to not even try and reach out to Harry and Meghan.

But given how icy things already are between the two royal couples, the Princess of Wales doesn’t even want to take the chance. She knows that whatever she and William try to do with the Sussexes, the optics are going to be bad.

That’s because it’ll look like William and Kate are the ones pleading and apologizing and trying to make amends with Harry and Meghan, when it should be the other way around.

After all, Kate Middleton is the next queen of England. She’s not going to knock on Meghan Markle’s door and plead with her to end their royal feud. That’s why she would rather stay home than set foot on American soil, which of course, is Meghan Markle’s territory.

While the Princess of Wales does want to be seen as a peacemaker, she doesn’t want to be seen as someone who desperately wants Meghan’s approval. She doesn’t need that, nor does she want it at this stage. That’s why a trip to America can wait.

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter just yet.
