In fact, there’s a new report that suggests things are going to rapidly change the moment that Prince William becomes king of England and his wife Kate Middleton becomes the queen.

According to Us Weekly, the Princess of Wales plans on doing things just a little bit differently when her husband takes the throne, compared to how Queen Camilla is handling things right now.

There are some critics out there who think Kate Middleton isn’t putting in enough work or attending royal engagements and public appearances. In fact, she’s rarely seen in public and only attends events if she absolutely has to.

That’s mostly because she’s still recovering from her cancer battle and of course, focusing on her family. But apparently she’s not thinking about going back to work full-time until she’s ready to become queen of England, whenever that is going to happen.

One source close to the situation even put it this way, “She’ll likely take on more public engagements alongside William, representing the monarchy at state visits, charitable endeavors and major national events.”

The insider added: “Kate will play a crucial role in shaping the monarchy’s relationship with the public — at a time when discussions about the relevance of the royal family are ongoing.”

Not only that, but it also looks like Kate Middleton plans on modernizing the monarchy when she becomes queen as well. Or at least, she wants to take a more modern approach when it comes to her work.

“One of her biggest challenges will be navigating the balance between tradition and modernity. Kate needs to help shape a royal family that remains connected to the public while upholding the traditions that define it.”
