Life has gotten much easier for Kate Middleton. The Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly taking tennis lessons. She’s also getting along better with Queen Elizabeth II. That’s more than Meghan Markle can say. A new report revealed that Kate is currently taking tennis lessons at a private London club. But Kate isn’t the only one who’s been working on her serve. Her kids have been taking lessons as well.
Both Kate Middleton and Prince William have been taking lessons at the exclusive Hurlingham Club in Fulham, south London. According to the People report, the entire family sometimes travels together. Even Kate’s kids, Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1, have been taking their aim on the tennis court. The kids are said to have a good time while their parents enjoy hitting balls at each other.
When Kate was pregnant with Louis was when she started to take an interest in tennis. “They are obviously choosing to improve their tennis,” an insider from the exclusive tennis club told People. “She hits the ball with nice top spin. She is a good minor athlete.” Kate and William have also been having lunch at the club with two of their older children. The insider revealed that Charlotte and George “looked perky and alert. It was a normal family of four. They were enjoying the sport and some lovely, natural family time.”
This doesn’t come as a surprise to royal fans as Kate has showed off her tennis skills before. She even played tennis while wearing heels. During her 2018 visit to Coach Core, Kate hit a few balls in black heeled ankle boots. And in a previous interview, Kate revealed that Prince George’s favorite tennis player is Roger Federer. The little royal has been inspired by the international athlete. He’s been so mesmerized by the player that he’s began taking up the sport himself.
Kate has also reportedly been having an “easy relationship” with the Queen after she’s been “putting the family first,” claims a royal expert, as reported by the Daily Mail on Monday. “The queen loves seeing Kate because it’s an opportunity to spend time with her and hear how great her grandchildren are doing,” according to Katie Nicholl, a royal correspondent for Vanity Fair. Kate has been making “a conscious effort” to making Elizabeth feel “as involved as possible in the children’s lives,” which has been a win-win for both.
Elizabeth looks forward to spending Christmas at Sandringham with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kate and William are doing the right thing by “putting the royal family first,” according to Nicholl. This comes after a report revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle plan to celebrate Christmas together away from the palace.
