British royal family news reveals that Kate Middleton is slowly but surely returning to her role as a highly visible senior royal.
Beginning in January 2024 she dealt with her health first and foremost for most of the year, announcing in September that she was finally cancer free.
Now the dignified force of nature is ready to return to the spotlight, with lessons learned and a newfound appreciation of life. It’s perhaps inevitable that the Princess of Wales is now being compared to the late Diana and even Meghan Markle. Let’s unpack what Kate’s next chapter entails.
Kate Middleton’s Big Return
A royal insider told TMZ that Kate is inspired by Diana’s work and her public perception: “Kate wants to be that kind of figure. Someone people trust, admire, and feel connected to.”
To that end Kate plans to focus on her Shaping Us project connected to the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood. This scheme focuses on healthy development in babies and young children, and now Kate would like to expand the project globally.
Kate’s Shaping Us Project
As Kate looks to expand her project, she’s hoping that UK TV presenter Holly Willoughby will join her effort.
The two met at the 2015 Fostering Excellence Awards and hit it off. According to the source, the two women have being a mother of three in common, as well as being popular figures in the spotlight.
In contrast, Kate has no intention to sell jam. Unlike Meghan Markle, Kate is secure in The Firm and cheap stunts aren’t necessary to keep her in the limelight. Also, no one is whispering about her marriage or husband’s children.
The insider added that “Kate’s doing what the public wants and expects from royalty” which includes “leadership and service … She doesn’t need a podcast deal to do it.”
Kate Middleton Showing The Others How It’s Done
Kate’s comeback came full circle with a visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital in London where she received cancer treatment. At the time she expressed her gratitude on Instagram: “We couldn’t have asked for more. The care has been exceptional.”
King Charles was also diagnosed with cancer last year and he continues to participate in treatment. That doesn’t mean he’s been sidelined however. This month he and Queen Camilla participated in an official state visit to Italy.
Both Charles and Kate’s return to royal duty signals a healthy and happy 2025 for the royals. We have no doubt that Kate will carve out her own legacy, just as Diana once did, and do it with her classic sense of style and dignity.
