Royal family watchers recently served up a wide range of predictions about what would happen when Prince Harry returned to the U.K. for the unveiling of a statute dedicated to his mother, Princess Diana.

Some thought that the occasion would reunite Harry with both his brother Prince William and sister-in-law Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge. And that assumption was understandable. 

Harry’s previous visit to the U.K. occurred for the funeral of his grandfather, Prince Philip. At that ceremony, Kate played a role in getting Harry and William to reunite. Therefore, Middleton seemed likely to play a key role when the brothers met up again at the Princess Diana statue unveiling.

Royal Family News – Kate Middleton Skips Princess Diana Ceremony Because Of Meghan Markle?!

Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William have become known for their loving, supportive marriage. So why would Kate avoid supporting her husband at the unveiling of a statue to honor his late mother, Princess Diana?

According to royal family expert Molly Mulshine, the Queen and her consultants may have orchestrated the decision. Molly believes that the royal family wanted to avoid any implication that Kate would receive the “credit” for crafting a reconciliation between the two princes.

But that’s not all! Mulshine also thinks that someone in the royal family just might be siding with Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle.

According to the royal family expert, Kate Middleton’s presence at the ceremony would have made Meghan “look bad” for her decision to stay in California.

“I wonder what the conversation is behind the scenes because that was the prevailing story after the funeral,” pointed out Molly.

Another royal family expert, Richard Eden, analyzed Prince Harry’s style choice at the ceremony.

Eden noted that ever since Harry met Meghan Markle, he has worn grey suits. Richard therefore theorizes that Meghan told Harry that she preferred him in grey.

But at the Princess Diana ceremony, Harry joined his brother Prince William in wearing navy suits. What happened?

According to the royal family expert, Harry snubbed Meghan’s preferences in favor of his mother. Princess Diana preferred men to wear navy suits.

“If you look at Prince Charles at her funeral, he didn’t wear black, he wore a navy suit and that’s because Diana liked him best in navy,” pointed out Eden.

So will getting together and even wearing the same colored suit at the ceremony permanently heal all the wounds between the brothers? Well, no. Some feel that there’s more trouble ahead.
