Kate Middleton Opens Up About Heartbreaking Parenting Struggle

Kate Middleton knows what parents have to deal with everyday even though she doesn’t experience some of the same struggles that many average moms and dads face every day. The Duchess of Sussex recently revealed that she is trying to help parents by creating more open and green spaces in Britain so kids can have safe place to play outdoors. The Duchess says that kids who grow up playing outside have a better chance of being happier adults later on in life. Here’s what you need to know.

According to Britain’s Express, Kate Middleton says that it’s heartbreaking for her to hear stories from parents about how they often struggle to provide for their children. It’s not always easy or accessible for some parents to take their children outside so they can play. That’s why the Duchess of Cambridge has taken it upon herself to help get kids outdoors. She recently revealed her woodland wilderness garden at the Chelsea Flower Show in London this week in hopes that it will inspire other communities to go green and become green, too!

Kate said, “It has been reaffirming and immensely heartening to hear from the parents and carers you work with about what they need, and what they want for the children in their care. t was abundantly clear – universally – that regardless of location, demographic or circumstance, all parents share the wish for their children to grow up happy, healthy, and equipped to be able to take every opportunity that comes their way. It is heartbreaking to know that there is a long way to go to realizing this wish.”

Kate Middleton worked alongside architects Andrew Davies and Adam White to create an open space outside that everyone can enjoy. She says that the garden aims to highlight the importance of the natural world. Not only does the Duchess want to see more kids playing outdoors, but she also wants them to enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer. She believes that the more people spend outside, the more it benefits their mental and physical well-being.

Before the garden reveal, Kate said: “In recent years I have focused much of my work on the early years, and how instrumental they are for outcomes later in life. I believe that spending time outdoors when we are young can play a role in laying the foundations for children to become happy, healthy adults.”
