In fact, there’s a new report that says Kate Middleton had to pull out of an event at the last minute simply because she couldn’t find a babysitter! Kate Middleton Royal News: Cancels Public Appearance

According to new reports, the Duchess of Cambridge found herself to be in the middle of a pickle right before her schedule appearance at the Tusk Awards. Just hours before she was supposed to attend the event, she had to pull out at the last minute. A Kensington Palace spokesperson told British media outlets it was because of her children but it was later explained that she couldn’t find a babysitter for her three children: Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and 18-month-old Prince Louis. Further reports stated that one of the children was sick and that the Duchess of Cambridge wanted to stay home to be with the child, too.

It’s a predicament that many mothers all over the world have found themselves to be in the past. “It is understood one of the children was not feeling well and Kate felt she needed to stay with them as no one else could step in,” one source said, according to The Sun.

Kensington Palace has not made any additional comments about Kate missing the event, however, this isn’t the first time that the Duchess had to back out of an appearance because of motherhood. During her first two pregnancies, Kate Middleton suffered from severe morning sickness and had to cancel all of her public appearances during her first trimesters. It’s also been noted that the Duchess had to cancel important appearances, like the St. Patrick’s Day parade in London in the past, because she had to tend to her children.
