Kate Middleton Reveals Plans For Upcoming Christmas Carol

Kate MiddletonThe Duchess of Cambridge will soon be unveiling a Christmas carol concert for all ages and all religious backgrounds at Westminster Abbey. From traditional Christmas songs to guest performances, it will be a night of beautiful and moving music, and guess what, the invitations are ready to go.

The Duchess of Cambridge To Host More Than Just A Holiday Carol

The concert, which will be taking place on Dec. 8 at the venue where Prince William and Kate tied the knot over a decade ago, is supported by the Royal Foundation. More than just a celebration of Christmas and the holiday season, it has been set up to “recognise and celebrate the incredible work of individuals and organizations across the nation who have stepped up to support their communities through the pandemic.”

The Duchess is leading the event with hopes that it will recognize the “unprecedented challenges” that people faced during the ongoing pandemic, as well as celebrating communities and diversity.

It will “represent a celebration of life in our communities, and illustrate how acts of kindness, empathy and love can nurture and reconnect us,” Kensington Palace added.

While William is likely to attend the event, it’s unknown whether the couple’s three children will be there, even though it’s speculated that one or all three of them could appear in the production.

An Instagram post shared on Tuesday showed the Duchess addressing the invitations.

And “it will be a moment for the nation to come together and look back on the past 18 months, to think not only of the unprecedented challenges that we have all faced as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, but also to remember the positives: people and organisations pulling together in their communities, the small acts of kindness across different demographics and generations, and the unsung heroes who stepped up to help others,” the Palace statement added.

Kate Middleton To Donate Proceeds From The Holiday Event To Charities “Close To Her Heart”

The invitees will feature “inspirational individuals from across the U.K.” — from those involved in grassroots activities and volunteers and teachers — to those working in key areas that the Duchess supports, such as people involved in the promotion of mental health issues, supporting families and driving awareness of and action on the extraordinary impact of the early years.

Per a statement released by the Palace, she hopes it will remind people “about the importance of human connection and what it means, as families, communities and as a nation, to be together and to feel united to help one another through times of hardship or uncertainty.”

Among the guest list are people who have felt isolated within the last 18 months.

Traditional carols, led by the famous Westminster Abbey choir, will be blended with performances by a variety of musical artists to make the occasion feel inclusive to people of all faiths and no faith.

Proceeds From The Event Will Go Into Supporting Charities Close To The Duchess Of Cambridge’s Heart.

The Palace also confirmed news that emerged recently that the special holiday event will be aired by ITV. It’s been said that the show was previously to air on BBC but was switched to air on the rival network after the royal documentary “The Princes and The Press” was deemed controversial and baseless by senior members of the Royal Family.
