According to the Daily Mail, the future queen of England met with children with disabilities during the event and while it was a very warm moment, many people noticed that Kate didn’t act as engaged as many people were hoping her to be.

That’s because Kate seemed to tower over the children rather than bend down to be one eye level with them. For a lot of royalists, they see this as a huge mistake that could have easily been avoided.

And while some people are pointing out what Princess Diana would have done in a similar situation, others believe that it’s unfair to compare Kate Middleton with her late mother-in-law. After all, they are two very different people.

What’s Next For Kate Middleton?

Of course, many royal fans and critics alike sure did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Some even commented with, “Diana would’ve hugged them. She was so naturally warm, caring, and genuine. You couldn’t not smile and feel the love when watching her.”

Another critic wrote, “I actually feel bad for Kate watching this clip. She’s trying so hard and it still comes off as forced and performative. She’s desperate to be like Diana but will never be close.”

“Diana at LEAST would’ve gotten down on that child’s level, instead of towering over him.”

And then there was this comment as well: “Kate definitely lacks warmth and humour. And seems to struggle to interact naturally with kids even though she’s got 3 of her own??

She mostly just desperately repeats the word ‘fantastic’ at all her public engagements.”

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.
