According to Today, Kate’s parents Michael and Carole Middleton legally own the “chic Chelsea apartment,” which Kate used to share with her younger sister Pippa. The Duchess of Cambridge spent much of her single years here, between 2005 to 2011.
After graduating from college and before marrying into the royal family, Kate Middleton used to work for her parents’ party business and later on became an accessories buyer for Jigsaw. Meanwhile, her sister Pippa was also a party-planning expert and had a flourishing writing career on the side.
As listed on Knight Franks, Kate Middleton’s bachelorette pad is described to be “charming, light, and spacious.” The three-story property has three bedrooms and two baths. It is accessed through the first floor, while the second floor houses the double reception room, kitchen, and dining.
The interiors are painted in bright beige and fitted with charming fixtures and wooden furniture. The master ensuite, located in the third floor, is described to have a “picturesque view onto Justice walk” overlooking the chimney pots of Old Chelsea. It is located along Old Church Street just a few walks from the Gloucester Road Station. It sure sounds like a marvelous home for a princess-to-be! Listing HERE!
While it is unknown why the Middletons are suddenly selling the property, it may be because no one is currently using it as both Kate and Pippa are now happily married. Kate, of course, is now known as the Duchess of Cambridge and has a gorgeous royal apartment in Kensington Palace where she lives with Prince William and their three children. One could imagine that Pippa’s place isn’t too shabby as well–the younger Middleton sister is now married to hedge fund manager James Matthews. The couple recently welcomed their first son last October.
