Both Prince William and Kate Middleton have long had a reputation for being the “laziest” among the working royals, but there seems to be a reason behind it. That’s because the Princess of Wales has other priorities in her life that she wants to focus on right now.

According to Us Weekly, one source close to the situation suggests the Princess of Wales is going to pick it up in the royal engagement and public appearance department when she feels like she’s going to be closer to becoming the next queen of England.

The insider even put it this way, “Kate’s return to royal duties has been careful and considered, reflecting her need to protect her well-being.”

“Her ability to manage this transition will set a precedent for how the royal family balances duty with personal well-being in the future.”

One of the reasons why Kate Middleton is so hesitant to become a full-time working royal is mostly because she wants to focus on being a mother at home to her three children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

And while her decision is raising some eyebrows out there, it looks like her husband Prince William has co-signed on her decision.
