British royal family news reveals that Princess Catherine was in her element last night, hosting her annual Christmas concert which was taped for airing at a later date.
According to one body language expert, Kate Middleton was more animated and less guarded in her public role, following a year spent battling cancer.
In January she underwent abdominal surgery at which time doctors found evidence of cancer. This resulted in a course of preventative chemotherapy which ended in September.
Christmas Carol Fun
Turning out for Kate’s ‘Together At Christmas’ carol service at Westminster Abbey were the entire Middleton family clan, Zara Tindall, Princess Beatrice, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Lord Frederick Windsor and Lady Gabriella Windsor, and Lady Sarah Chatto, the late Princess Margaret’s daughter. Notably absent, due to health concerns, were King Charles and Queen Camilla.

This is Kate’s fourth ‘Together At Christmas’ carol service and it will be televised by ITV on Christmas Eve. Body language expert Judi James told MailOnline that key behavioral indicators show that the Princess of Wales has changed in the wake of her life-altering experience.
According to James, Kate displayed “flickering, animated body language” and “emotional range.” She went to explain that Kate’s illness may have opened up a willingness to be more open during public events.

Specifically, James noted that Kate displayed “intrinsic, visible changes” that indicate the Princess of Wales “has added an extra dimension in terms of emotional signalling.”
She pointed to Kate’s smiles, laughter, and even her posture. James said that one instance at the event highlighted her increased emotional vulnerability. It came when Kate told a cute story about Prince Louis keeping a secret from his sister and Princess Charlotte, and the proud mother used “mime rituals to act out her emotions.”

The outlet notes that Kate personally planned out the details of the carol service and arrived by herself at 4pm on Friday to view the abbey and manage last minute arrangements.
