There’s a new report that says the reality television star has managed to buy one of Princess Diana’s priciest jewels. Even though she never owned it, she did wear it to an event. According to reports, Kim Kardashian has bought a pendant previously worn by Princess Diana. The amethyst and diamond-encrusted Attallah crucifix was created by Garrod London and apparently loaned to Diana by its owner several times. Sothebys confirm that it sold today by auction for $197,453.
Needless to say, the internet sure did have a lot to say about this purchase. Some comments included, “I’ve never seen that picture before, was Diana at a fancy dress do? Bishop of Canterbury maybe. It’s not her normal good taste and is actually more suitable for KK,” along with,
“I wouldn’t wear it but it might look pretty on a wall in your home…maybe in a bedroom minus the chain. Yes it is gawdy to wear but remember the time period. I’d like to see that go to one of Diana’s sons, I don’t care which one.”
Another critic wrote, “It’s very goth and costume like, but Kim needs some retail therapy right now. Her ex gets a new lookalike wife, she gets some big jewelry. But it also doesn’t strike me as Diana’s style either.”

There was also this comment, “Honestly less than 200 grand isn’t that over the top. If Diana had owned it of course it would have went for more and the interest higher.”
So far Kim Kardashian herself has not made any comments about the matter but there’s no doubt we’ll be seeing her wear the piece of jewelry sooner rather than later. At least it’s not a tiara, right?
