If Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not going to be spending the holidays this year with the rest of the Royal Family at Sandringham, they’re at least going to be bringing a bit of royalty to their Montecito mansion.

The Sussexes have been snubbed once again, but Harry and Meghan are apparently desperate to have some family member with young children spend the holidays with them.

The confusing factor here is that Princess Eugenie also received an invite to spend the holidays with the rest of the Royal Family at Sandringham, and her sister Princess Beatrice and her family are likely to be there.

However, despite Harry and Meghan’s controversial exit, they have continued to remain close to Princess Eugenie – she’s also the only royal family member who has visited them at their Montecito mansion and made an appearance in their Netflix docuseries, ‘Harry and Meghan.’

The news of the invites was originally broken by The Expresss. The media publication quoted an insider as revealing, “Harry and Meghan have invited Eugenie and Jack to join them in California during the holidays. It’s a very difficult position for Eugenie because she has also been invited to Sandringham.”

Despite being born five years apart, Prince Harry and Princess Eugenie enjoy a close bond due to their upbringing. Their mothers, Princess Diana and Duchess Sarah, enjoyed a close friendship so would always bring the children together during the holidays.

A source once told MailOnline, “Harry and Eugenie have always been close ever since they were children. He always makes her laugh. They share a sense of humour. She is friends with Meghan too, and was close to his two previous girlfriends Chelsy Davy and Cressida Bonas.”
