British royal family news reveals that King Charles successfully underwent prostate surgery yesterday, the same day he visited his daughter-in-law Kate Middleton after an abdominal surgery that will keep her of royal events until spring.
Instead of recuperating and taking care of his health, he must now deal with terrible front page scandal: video of an ambassador of his anti-violence charity brutally assaulting someone—and then condoning his behavior.
Royal Family News: Charles’ Fresh Scandal
The Daily Mail reports that the ambassador is Pakistani folk singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who allegedly attacked a backup singer during a US tour. Khan is an ambassador for the King’s British Asian Trust, an anti-domestic violence charity.
According to the outlet: “Khan, 49, who has eight million followers on social media, rained blows on the man with a slipper and dragged him around by his hair during the brutal attack at a hotel in Houston, Texas, last year.
Last night he admitted the assault, saying: ‘He was my student and I hit him. He has no objection.’” The video was sent to The Mail on Sunday.
In case you haven’t heard of him, “Khan is considered the greatest living singer of a genre of music famous in Pakistan called Qawwali, which has its origins in the poetry and music of Islamic mystics, known as Sufis.”
Royal Family News: Charles’ Ambassador Accused of Assault
Khan is a popular figure who sells out shows in the UK and around the world. During a packed show at Wembley, London Mayor Sadiq Khan joined him on stage and called him “brother.”
The outlet received three videos of Khan’s assault: “In one 22-second clip … Khan is seen arguing with the man in a green T-shirt, shouting at him: ‘Where is my bottle? I am going to hit you. Have you seen my bottle?” Another clip shows the victim “crouching as Khan strikes him with what appears to be a slipper. He then hits the man on his face and head and screams: ‘Where is my bottle?’”
The third video allegedly shows other bandmates trying to pull Khan off the man as he beats him.
A source claims the assault could have “been over a bottle of liquor” but Khan denied that claiming it was “spiritual water given to him by a holy man” which the student lost.
In an alarming statement Khan said “He was my student and I hit him. He lost my special bottle of water, he was responsible for it, he accepted it. And he has no objection to me beating him. No one has an objection if I punished my student because he lost my spiritual bottle of water. He has even asked me for forgiveness.”
One day after surgery King Charles must now with this incredible assault and repugnant statement issued by one of his trusted ambassadors.
While Khan excused his assault, the British Asian Trust said “We take all accusations of abuse seriously and we will look into this urgently.”
Khan and King Charles have met several times for the British Asian Trust business, a company founded by Charles in 2007 “to tackle poverty and build community relations.”
Additionally, “Khan’s vocals were used in Mel Gibson’s 2007 movie Apocalypto and he contributed to the soundtrack of 1995 film Dead Man Walking.
He made his Hollywood acting debut in What’s Love Got To Do With It? starring Lily James, in 2022. The film was directed by his friend Jemima Khan, ex-wife of former Pakistan Premier Imran Khan.”
