On Monday, it was announced that King Charles will broadcast his first Christmas message via BBC after ITV crew left the project over mysterious circumstances.
Even though King Charles recorded his first ever Christmas message last Tuesday, fans still predict they know the reason such a sudden shift was made.
BBC To Air King Charles’s Message After Palace Chiefs Axe ITV
King Charles recorded his poignant Christmas message, said to be bitter-sweet, a few days before Harry and Meghan Markle dropped their intimate Netflix docuseries.
A rota system that’s been on play for years meant that ITV cameras were booked to capture this year’s Christmas speech and share the footage with the world’s media.
It is understood that this year’s message, set to be broadcast at 3pm on Christmas Day, will be “different” from the previous 69 recordings made by Queen Elizabeth II.
Even after The Sun broke the news about the change, Buckingham Palace still does not want to comment on the change and are yet to confirm where the filming took place.
An industry insider said: “It was ITV’s turn but they were cancelled and the BBC called instead. No explanation has been given for the last-minute change.”
Fans Blame Prince Harry For Mysterious Network Change
Royal fans were quick to pick up on the change and attribute the “mysterious circumstances” to Harry promoting his book “Spare” on ITV, where he will be interviewed by ITV journalist Tom Brady.
However, despite very public criticisms of the Royal Family by Harry and Meghan Markle, it is said that King Charles will mention them in his Christmas message.
